This book was put together at the time that the National Curriculum was being planned in Britain. A major concern underpinning the book was that the teachers were often ill-served by those who control schooling and that 'therefore our scrutiny should primarilly turn to the motives and aspirations for the individuals and interest group that stucture and restructure schooling'.
